Nifty Dynamic Accelerator 5 Year NPP
Edelweiss (via Nuvama) · Nifty 50
Also known as Nifty Dynamic Accelerator NPP
Nifty gains are boosted slab-wise: nothing until the Nifty is up 15%, then a booster that reaches a 40% return at a 30% rise and a 100% return at a 40% rise. You fall one-for-one with the market on the way down, over 5 years.
How well this structure fits each investor profile, derived from its protection, return potential and downside. It is a fit score, not a quality grade. Best fit here: Aggressive.
No principal protection, so it carries up to 60% downside.
Balances 0% protection with up to 100% upside.
Prioritises up to 100% upside, accepting up to 60% downside.
What is this product
A 60-month non-principal-protected Nifty market-linked debenture (All Weather Equity, NPP) from Edelweiss. It pays nothing on Nifty gains up to 15%, then boosts the excess slab-wise, reaching a 40% return once the Nifty is up 30% and a 100% return once it is up 40%, above which the return is capped at 100%. The downside is one-for-one with the index.
- 01No return accrues until the Nifty gain over the term is more than 15%.
- 02From a 15% to a 30% Nifty gain you earn about 2.67 times the excess above 15%, so a 30% Nifty rise pays a 40% return.
- 03From a 30% to a 40% Nifty gain the booster steps up to 6 times, adding up to 60% more, so a 40% Nifty rise pays the full 100% cap.
- 04Above a 40% Nifty gain the return is capped at 100%. If the Nifty ends below the entry level, the loss is one-for-one with the index; principal is not protected.
- 05Entry level averages the Nifty over the primary trade date and the next 5 F&O expiries; exit level averages the closes from the 49th to the 54th month. Minimum investment ₹5 L, in ₹1 L steps thereafter.
Average of the official closing levels of the Nifty 50 on the primary trade date and on the F&O expiry of each of the next 5 months.
Average of the official closing levels of the Nifty 50 on the F&O expiry of the 49th to the 54th month from the primary trade date. Redemption is at month 60, so the level is fixed six months before you are paid.
Your return is measured between these two levels, not from the index level on the day you invest. Read both definitions in the term sheet before investing.
Payoff visualisation
Indicative profile of the structure's mechanics at maturity, shown out to a +100% move in the underlying. Not a forecast.
How to read this. The horizontal axis is how far the underlying (the index this note tracks) moves by maturity. The gold line is what this structure pays you at each of those moves. The teal dashed line is break-even. Where the gold line is above it you make money; where it flattens, the return is capped or the capital is protected. For example, read across to a plus 10 percent move on the axis, then up to the gold line to see your return if the index finished 10 percent higher.

If it had matured into a crisis or a peak
